Drop Off Areas

Drop Off Areas - thank you for your cooperation in following our drop off/pick up procedures.  Many Village officials assisted in directing and monitoring the first week.  The Brown County Sheriff’s Department asked me to remind parents that they will continue to monitor and will ticket those who do not follow the laws.

You are reminded to only drop off/pick up on the west side of Cardinal and the north or south side of Woodale--west of the back driveway.

Also, please refrain from dropping in the back (west) lot between the school and football fields.  This areas is designated for the 20 plus busses that need to drop off and pick up in that lot.

PLC Begins Tuesday, Sept 12

PLC Tuesday Begins Tuesday, September 12 and school will start at 8 AM tomorrow, and all Tuesdays throughout the year.  Teachers participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) on Tuesdays which allow them to share ideas, curriculum, assessments, and how to improve our teaching and learning.  This is a very valuable time, and we thank you for your understanding for the inconvenience it may cause  for some.

Students who cannot come at 8 AM may ride the bus at the usual time and participate in a before school study hall until 8 AM.  Breakfast is also available at the normal times.  Please note that traffic is typically heavier on Tuesday mornings, especially when the whether is poor.  Please plan accordingly.

OPEN HOUSE - Wed., August 30 - 6:00 - 7:30 PM

OPEN HOUSE/MEET YOUR TEACHERS NIGHT

Wednesday, August 30—6:00 to 7:30 PM

We believe it is important for students to attend our Open House/Meet Your Teachers Night so that parents and students can both recognize where their classes are and be able to meet their teachers. It is also a valuable time-saver for students to bring their supplies with them to Open House so they are able to get a jump start on setting up their lockers. This will allow students to come empty handed and prepared to learn on the first day of school.

You can also purchase your new Bay View apparel at the Bay View Pro Shop located in the Bay View Galley.

Note: *We do not collect fees at Open House.
*Schedule errors should be reported to your STRIDE teacher or your School Counselor.
*Remember: We will fix errors but do not accept requests to make course changes.

Note From the Food Service Department

May, 2017

A note from the Food Service Department…

Dear Parent/Guardian:

Thank you for your participation in our School Meal Programs this year.  As we near the end of the school year, please carefully review the following points regarding lunch accounts.

Active accounts will retain their balances.  If a student leaves the district, the account is no longer active; a refund of the inactive balance must be requested from Food Service within 6 months.  Inactive balances remaining after 6 months will be considered a donation to the Food Service Fund.  Balances may be refunded or transferred to a sibling’s account or to the Giving Tree lunch account to be used at their discretion for those in need.  Please direct account-related communications to a Food Service Cashier (see contact information below).

Cashiers communicate account balances to students before the end of the school year.  Please be sure to send a lunch from home if your student has a negative balance or insufficient account funds that would result in having to charge meal purchases; CHARGING IS NOT ALLOWED in our final weeks of school.

The MySchoolBucks (MSB) web-based payment program will be inactivated after June 7 until mid-August.  Please plan payments before or after that period.  BE SURE TO DISABLE YOUR AUTO-PAY FUNCTION if you want to minimize balances and avoid automatic payments being made toward the end of the year.  Also to avoid payment conflicts upon return, please review and update your MSB account as needed—e.g., if your student has changed sites or your bank card has changed/expired.

Current free or reduced price meal eligibility will expire OCTOBER 17, 2018.  Carryover eligibility applies only to 2016-17 students.  New applications must be submitted each year.  Updated forms and instructions will be mailed to households in August and also linked here http://www.hssd.k12.wi.us/#!blank/b2he1 on our Food Service web page.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions/concerns about this or any other aspect of our School Meal Programs.  Be sure to also check out our Snack Bag Program offered as a convenience to those participating in summer school.  Thank you again for your contributing to the success of our programs.  Enjoy your summer!

No Parking in Drop Off Areas

As the weather is colder, the Brown County Sheriff's Department asked us to remind parents that there is no parking or waiting in vehicles in the posted/designated "Drop Off" areas (on Cardinal Lane, Woodale, or Jaymar).  This causes both traffic and safety issues.  Therefore, violators will be ticketed.  (1-10-17)
